It’s Gemini season, and celebrities born under the twin zodiac sign are celebrating by being exactly themselves.
Geminis, born between May 21 to June 21, are known for being gentle, affectionate, curious and quick-witted.
“Ruling the third house, the Gemini-born are intellectually inclined, forever probing people and places in search of information,” Astrology.com states.
But Geminis can also be nervous, inconsistent and indecisive.
Below, Page Six breaks down eight celebrities who were born to embody a true Gemini.
If anyone is a true Gemini, it’s Angelina Jolie.
The actress, born June 4, 1975, is a human rights activist — and according to zodiac experts, Geminis are all about activism.
“A master writer, orator, and listener, you can serve this moment by introducing new inquiries that become the container for new conversations,” wellandgood.com reports about Geminis. “Aries is the ruler or your activism which requires you to know that you can be a pioneer by asking uncomfortable but necessary questions. Since when you speak, others listen carefully, you can use your gift of communication to change the world.”
The humanitarian has spoken out about the Syrian war, met with refugees, become a special envoy to the United Nations and even considered a career in politics.
And because Geminis struggle with “being confined” and “repetition and routine”, according to astrology-zodiac-signs.com, she has had a difficult time during the COVID-19 quarantine.
“Well, I was never very good at sitting still. Even though I wanted to have many children and be a mom, I always imagined it kind of like Jane Goodall, traveling in the middle of the jungle somewhere,” she said in March 2021. “I didn’t imagine it in that true, traditional sense.”
Kanye West, born June 8, 1977, embodies the Gemini for better or for worse.
“Gemini’s changeable and open mind makes them excellent artists,” astrology-zodiac-signs.com states. “This is a versatile, inquisitive, fun-loving sign, born with a wish to experience everything there is out there, in the world. This makes their character inspiring, and never boring.”
If that isn’t West, we don’t know what is. The talented rapper has time and time again showed his creative side through his music, fashion and other forms of artistic expression.
However, according to Lovetoknow.com, “if a Gemini goes to their darkest side they can become erratic, unstable, and volatile. At their worst, they can have garden variety sociopathic and bipolar-like traits, which can lead others to think they might be suffering from a mental illness.”
This is certainly true for the Yeezy founder, who struggles with bipolar disorder and notoriously had a meltdown onstage while throwing his hat in the ring for president of the United States in 2020.
Naomi Campbell is a model Gemini.
The catwalker, born May 22, 1970, is known for her style, sass and blunt attitude.
“[Geminis] are shallow in nature when it comes to knowledge, they love to seek everything but just from outer without going deep in it,” Revive Zone reports. “They are not people who love intense knowledge or deep conversation on a topic. They want everything to be superficial in nature.”
Campbell is known to have her catty moments, though she once seemed to allege that fellow model Tyra Banks was the “real mean girl.”
Additionally, Geminis are known for showing obsessive-compulsive behavior. And as she once admitted, Campbell never leaves home without praying — or showering.
“That’s just an automatic. Get up. Hit the floor. Pray,” she said during an Instagram Live in April 2020. “I can’t leave the house without showering. [There’s] lots of things that I … can’t leave the house without — when I can leave the house.”
She also notoriously showed up to an airport wearing a full hazmat suit in March 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Aly Raisman, born on May 25, 1994, has serious Gemini energy.
“Equipped with almost uncanny emotional intelligence, Gemini can easily read a room and know exactly what other people want to hear from them,” according to horoscope.com. “They can easily shift their personality depending on mood, going from Friday night life of the party to Monday morning office superstar. Energetic and passionate, Gemini can breathe new life into a same-old routine and excite other people simply by their all-in presence.”
Raisman has proven time and time again that she is intelligent and driven. The Olympian mostly memorably spoke with passion and eloquence when she testified against her “sick” abuser Larry Nassar in January 2018.
And Raisman, like all Geminis who are true team players, has shown support for all the other gymnasts who were also victimized.
Geminis are also extremely bold and outgoing, which are traits Raisman clearly owns considering she posed nude in Sports Illustrated in February 2018.
Kendrick Lamar, born on June 17, 1987, has Gemini vibes up the wazoo.
“Geminis are profoundly creative, and their work is typically fueled by the idea that what they can create or build is better than anything else that exists yet,” YourTango reports. “Geminis are only creative when they are also confident about what they are making. That is what motivates them after all.”
Similar to West, Lamar has also earned the reputation of one of the greatest rappers in the industry. Not to mention, he became the first rapper to ever win a Pulitzer Prize, thanks to his 2017 album, “Damn.”
“It’s an honor,” Lamar said while accepting the award in May 2018. “Been writing my whole life, so to get this type of recognition is beautiful.”
Laverne Cox, born May 29, 1972, aligns with the Gemini way.
Her love life has a direct coorlation to her zodiac sign.
“Inquisitive and always ready to flirt, a Gemini could spend a lot of time with different lovers until they find the right one who is able to match their intellect and energy,” according to astrology-zodiac-signs.com.
This was clear when Cox spread the word that she was ready for someone to slide into her DMs in September 2019 following her breakup from her boyfriend of two years.
Additionally, the “Orange Is the New Black” alum shows her Gemini colors through her love of communication.
“[Geminis] are sociable, communicative and ready for fun, with a tendency to suddenly get serious, thoughtful and restless,” the site states.
E! tapped Cox in May 2021 to replace Giuliana Rancic as the network’s red carpet host. Who better for the job than a Gemini?
Octavia Spencer, born May 25, 1970, encapsulates Gemini mentality with her giving spirit.
The “G” in Gemini stands for “generous,” according to zociacreads.com, and Spencer is just that.
The “Thunder Force” actress donated respiratory monitors to medical facilities in April 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic.
People who fall under the Gemini Zodiac sign are also quite open-minded and accepting.
So in true Gemini form, Spencer has been an advocate for the LGBTQ community and was even honored by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network in August 2019.
Amy Schumer, born June 1, 1981, exudes Gemini energy.
This is evident when examining the comedian’s famous dry sense of humor.
“The Gemini has a sharp wit and they are well known for their extremely dry and sarcastic sense of humor,” according to Zodiacfire.com. “Their jokes may fly right over people heads of some but those that can actually keep up with their train of thought often find them hilarious.”
Schumer’s Gemini tendencies are also clear in her love life.
“Fun and always ready for an intellectual challenge, Gemini sees love first through communication and verbal contact, and find it as important as physical contact with their partner,” writes astrology-zodiac-signs.com.
The “I Feel Pretty” actress is married to Chris Fischer, whom she says communicates everything that’s on his mind due to his diagnosis on the autism spectrum.
“Once he was diagnosed, it dawned on me how funny it was, because all of the characteristics that make it clear that he’s on the spectrum are all of the reasons that I fell madly in love with him,” she said in March 2019. “That’s the truth. He says whatever is on his mind. He keeps it so real. He doesn’t care about social norms or what you expect him to say or do.”
