Well, they did it.
High school athletes from across the state of Kansas completed the 2020-2021 high school sports season. Through a year filled with mask-wearing, classes becoming digital and quarantining, the athletes, coaches, directors and many more can say they made it.
Now, spotlighting on the high school girls soccer season, two of the three Reno County teams won a regional game this season. One made it to the state quarterfinals in the Buhler Crusaders, and the Hutchinson Salthawks stole the regional semifinal over Dodge City in overtime. The Nickerson Panthers showed signs of triumph in their season and honored teammate Hadley Nelson in her fight with cancer.
